eBay Education Specialists Trained by eBay

“Dad, can I open an eBay account?”
my 15 year old son asked. “I want to buy this broken computer for parts and I can get it really cheap.” I said, “Wait a minute, what is this eBay thing, anyhow?” Our son, who is now a computer engineer, spent several hours researching and teaching us about eBay. We were hooked!

Well, that’s all it took. I could not believe the deals we could find on computer parts! We began buying parts and rebuilding computers. Then I started to think, “What can I sell on eBay??” Since we own a sign and vinyl graphics business, we decided to see if any of our signs would sell. My wife’s love of animals led us first to designing and listing personalized dog signs. After testing the eBay market, we finally hit on something. We created personalized bar beer signs, Irish signs, golf signs, pool room signs, poker signs, and nautical signs, to name just a few.

My wife and I have been buying and selling on eBay since 2001. We are Power Sellers with over 1700 successful transactions. In 2004, we attended an all day eBay University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. When the class was over, we stayed after to talk to Jim Griffith “Griff”, the Dean of eBay education. Prior to attending the class, I taught several friends and family members how to sell on eBay. But I wanted a structured format for teaching people how to buy and sell on eBay. I mentioned this to Griff and he told me eBay was working on something. And lo and behold, eBay and Power University partnered up to do just that.

Soon after, I became an eBay Education Specialist trained by eBay, teaching individuals and groups “The Basics of Selling on eBay”. My wife is an eBay Education Specialist trained by eBay as well and is teaching the class with me. Sharing her experiences with photography and listings has added a beneficial aspect to our classes. We offer different perspectives and cover different insights to the eBay selling experience. Our focus is to help you get started selling on eBay with items you may have lying around your home. Selling on eBay can be a hobby, a part-time or even full-time business! We encourage you to take the class and to learn the safe and secure way to sell on eBay. With a little bit of practice, you can be a very successful eBay seller!

We really enjoy teaching people how to buy and sell on eBay. Please check the feedback left by satisfied people that have attended our classes.
